Looking Forward to Summer with Protest SS20 Collection.
April 15, 2020
Written in collaboration with Protest.
I did wonder whether to go ahead and write this post while in the midst of a lockdown especially when at the moment we have no idea when it will end and how we will get to enjoy summer. Then I realised, we all need to dream. We all need something to focus on and look forward to in order to get through any difficult time and so I’m going to go ahead.
The sun is shining and I’m starting to think ahead to summer. I’ve written many times about the difficulties of getting ‘summer ready‘ as a woman of certain proportions with the added stress of children. In the past I have loved summer but really struggled to feel comfortable.
Last year though I turned it around, I decided that I was happy being me and what other people think is of no importance to me whatsoever.
I have gone from being the woman who declared no one over 30 should wear a bikini to the woman who now thinks everyone should wear whatever makes them feel wonderful – don’t worry, I’m not about to start posting swimwear shots of myself just yet.
Protest SS20 Collection
I am, however, going to tell you that the Spring/Summer 2020 collection from Protest is certainly worth taking a look at (and offer you a 10% discount code). Whether we will be free to travel to the sun or will just enjoy the summer in our back gardens there’s no reason not to buy yourself something beautiful to do it in!
Fun fact, Protest was founded in 1993 by a group of snowboarders with the initial focus was on design led, functional wear for snowboarders. The company then ‘snowballed’ – forgive the pun – and has broadened it’s range to include fashionable and functional swimwear and general attire for men, women and children.
The new SS20 range at Protest is varied with a style for everyone. Whether you like a one piece swimsuit, a traditional triangle bikini, a tummy covering tankini or even a push up bikini to keep the ladies in order, there’s something for everyone.
All of the ranges are super stylish and come in a broad range of designs from subtle and understated to colourful and bold. Some of the designs also feature in the kids swimwear range so you can hit the summer twinning – brilliant! Aoife particularly loves the neon available and has used the first sunny day to wear the tankini and shorts she chose. I personally thought a mere 13 degrees was maybe a bit chilly for swimwear but she is an optimistic little lady!
The SS20 collection at Protest for men, women and children is fashionable, functional and very reasonably priced especially when you consider some items on the market at the minute (we’ve all seen the overpriced swimsuits that aren’t made for swimming haven’t we?!).
To add a little more sunshine to your day, Protest are offering 10% off your order – winner! Just enter the code meannie10 at checkout before June 30th 2020.
