Welcome to Annie Bee’s Colouring Sheets for Parents! Here I create wonderful little pictures that you can download, print off, colour in and stick on your fridge. It’ll make a refreshing change to the weird abstract that came home from pre-school last week! Colouring Printables I’ve not done a colouring sheet for you for AGES because, y’know, life. I should imagine that every single one of us is guilty of using a filter or two on social media at times. I mean, a touch of Clarendon makes EVERYONE look better amiright? It makes sense, no one really wants to display the worst of life. We all want to look like we’ve got our shit together and are coping like bosses. It’s how we function out in the real world so it makes sense it’s how we treat our online life. Many of us would readily admit what we choose to share is a snapshot, a brief moment in a day and maybe with a little filter added. But we all have that one friend on our timeline. The one who tries to pass off every single ‘candid’ picture as #nofilter or #wokeuplikethis. In reality their beauty filter is set so high you can’t see where their face ends and their neck begins or whether they actually have a nose. They’re starting to look a little like Voldemort. There’s nothing wrong with using a filter at all, if a filter makes you feel happier about that picture then knock yourself out but please, don’t think we believe it’s au naturel. We believe that about as much as we believe you actually have puppy ears and hearts flying around your face. And on that note, I present to you Instasham – your latest colouring sheet. Welcome to Annie Bee’s Colouring Sheets for Batshit Crazy Parents! Here I create wonderful little pictures that you can download, print off, colour in and stick on your fridge. They will probably resonate with you more than flowers, a car or a rabbit. I’m off on holiday next week and man am I ready. You know when you get to that point where being a parent is literally suffocating you? Yeah you do, don’t lie. No one is judging you here. Anyway, I’m at that point – I need a break. Obviously my children are coming with me so we will be parenting but in a warmer, more beautiful place. Before you have children there’s this…ideal. This scene you create with your wonderfully, clean all the time children who do as they ask. If for some reason you find yourself raising your voice you quickly apologise and talk it out. They eat what you cook, you have meaningful conversations and they say things that would put the greatest philosophers to shame. You’re #blessed. You #cherisheverymoment. You would NEVER say that sometimes, it’s just not for you. Once you have kids you swiftly realise that someone, somewhere is creating these lies just to make people procreate. Yes there ARE some wonderful moments but by God there are some trying ones. I honestly believe some days, that my time would be better spent standing in front of a mirror and talking to myself. It’s my own fault for creating such independent, strong minded children. So, yes, we have some special times. More often than not, my favourite time is bedtime. THAT’S why mama loves gin. Welcome to Annie Bee’s Colouring Sheets for Parents! Here I create wonderful little pictures that you can download, print off, colour in and stick on your fridge. They will probably resonate with you more than flowers, a car or a rabbit. We all know that person don’t we? The beautiful, younger, childfree and far more stylish than us person. As soon as we’re in the midst of a heatwave, they’re walking down the High Street sporting hot pants that would make Kylie’s eyes water and a top so tiny you wonder what is the point. You meet up at the park or beach – you’re in a maxi dress trying to hide your pouchy mum tum and look even 50% as glamourous as she whilst coralling your kids. She rocks up in her barely there outfit. As you sit in the sunshine she declares ‘Urgh, I look such a state! Look at this wobbly tummy and these HUGE thighs’. Welcome to Annie Bee’s Colouring Sheets for Parents! Here I create wonderful little pictures that you can download, print off, colour in and stick on your fridge. They will probably resonate with you more than flowers, a car or a rabbit. I like colouring. Not that namby pamby, intricate design type colouring. Proper colouring, in the kids colouring books. Unfortunately, my children don’t like me colouring in their books – jealousy. So, I decided to take my art degree and utilise it! Today’s colouring is based on a true story. The other day I wouldn’t let Aoife eat the fruit because I was saving it for my G & T…. Probably not my best parenting moment, ah well.
