International Women’s Day…To the Women

Today, March 8th, is International Women’s Day.
Let’s take a moment to celebrate women being women and give one another a great big pat on the back for being bloody awesome.

Hooray to the women who like to wear make up.
Hooray to the women who choose to wear none.

Bravo to the women who go out to work.
Bravo to the women who choose to stay home.

Some of my Wonderful women

Big up to the women who run their own businesses.
Big up to the women who work for others.

Holler to the women who choose to be single.
Holler to the women who choose to be in relationships.

Huzzah to the women who don’t want babies.
Huzzah to the women who want babies.

High five to the women who are happy with themselves.
High five to the women who’d change this or that.

To the women completely content with their lives – you got it.
To the women who wish theirs was a little different – you got it too.

Big hugs to the women who are strong and cope.
Big hugs to the women who sometimes struggle.
Good work to the women with the big support network.
Good work to the women going it alone.

Kudos to the women who support their fellow women’s choices, whether they agree or not.
Kudos to the women who don’t judge other women based on looks, clothes and material ‘things’.
Much kudos to the women who don’t find joy in the failures or faults of other women.

Respect to the women who offer a shoulder.
Respect to the women who ask for help.
Respect to the women who wish they could – please do.

Let’s celebrate ALL women, inspiring future generations and showing them they can be whatever and whoever they flipping well want.

Hooray to the women!International Women's Day #women #woman #IWD #Internationalwomensday #Womensday #feminism #celebrate

Pat on the back to anyone who doesn’t ask “yeah, but when is International Men’s Day?” (November 19th in case you’re wondering).

As an addition to this, Erica from The Incidental Parent and I have a lovely group and website just for women. Join us on Facebook here and our Les Femmes Ensemble website here.

Thanks for reading, I'd love to know what you think.
