The Origami Kids Cafe is specifically designed for kids aged one to seven, after all, it makes sense because they are the troublemakers that won’t even let the parents enjoy their food. However, this innovative space that is cosy looking and pleasant to the eye with wonderful colours embedded in white is full of activities; reading, climbing etc. and there is even a mini kitchen inside it. So, all you have to do is lay back, relax while enjoying the delicious Chinese cuisine while watching over your kids who will be dwelling in their imaginations. You can also explore the rooftop park at the Origami Kids Cafe; it is an outdoor playground and from there you can witness a beautiful ocean view. Workshops are also available for curious little minds. You can also have events like birthday parties in these workshop areas. But of course, this does not come out for free. For a weekday two hour session it will be $138 per child while on weekends it’s a bit higher, $198 per child. The opening hours of Origami Kids Cafe are 10.00 AM to 9.00 PM daily.

Mr Tree

Mr. Tree which was opened recently in Hong Kong is now thriving as one of the best family-friendly restaurants in the area of Lai Chi Kok, Hong Kong. Space is divided into various parts based on the age range of the children. They have kid-friendly eateries and food for adults as well. The children meal pack is priced at $24. One part of this restaurant is the cafeteria style dining space and the other part is for kids aged 0-6 years; it has a playground featuring climbing activities with ropes, swings, slides and also a ball pit for you kids to play in. Therefore, you should not expect a peaceful environment to dine in but surely you can have some quality time with your wife or husband while the kids play to their heart’s content. The opening hours are Monday-Saturday, 9.30 AM to 9.00 PM.

Kind Kitchen by Green Common

This is just the perfect place to dine if you enjoy a vegan diet! It has all sorts of vegan foods starting from spaghetti, pizza, burgers, meat-free Omnipork and even desserts like cheesecake. So, is that all? No, it has a mini Kind Kitchen too; that satisfies the cravings of your children so there is nothing for you to worry about…the food is also great for the children because the kids’ menu has veggie veggie-based cheese and very healthy spaghetti bolognese. There is also a mini kitchen where your children can make their versions of burgers like professional chefs. The opening hours are 11.30 AM to 10.00 PM daily. 

MeokBang BBQ Kidzone

MeokBang BBQ Kidzone is the newest addition to the list of family-friendly restaurants in Hong Kong as it was established in 2019. This is the perfect place to have a Korean meal, both new and traditional recipes made appealingly so that even your children would crave it every time they visit Hong Kong. The signature dishes are meat and therefore, don’t forget to try out their Hanwoo Beef dish! It is amazing… The place gives you a bit of the Joseon Dynasty because it was built like a Korean Hanok, a type of house in ancient Korea. It also has a children’s play area with a kitchen and a ball pit. You can also participate in the costume dressing activity held there; the children are not charged but adults have to pay for it. The prices vary but generally for a children’s meal pack (under 8 years old) and 3 hours of play while you get to relax will cost about $130. The opening hours of MeokBang BBQ Kidzone are 11.30 AM to 10.00 PM on weekdays while on weekends it is from 12.00 PM to 10.00 PM.

Whizbo Kids Cafe

Whizbo Kids Cafe has some of the healthiest meals in Hong Kong. All of the dishes are freshly prepared with organic vegetables and greens that are grown within the place itself. All of the ingredients used are GMO-free. So, why not head to Whizbo Kids Cafe and eat sustainable food? They have menus that are more vegetarian but the presentation is really lovely to make your children want to stare at them and then dig up as the chefs here make cute figures out of the food to make it more visually appealing. These include snacks, kinds of pasta, rice, pancakes and even desserts. The play environment in the Whizbo Kids Cafe will be cosy, filled with colourful decor and safe for your children while you spend some quality time. There is also a party area that can accommodate about 10-40 people or even more dependent on the rooms you select. Generally, on weekdays it will cost about $20 for a children’s meal pack and three hours of play while for an adult it will be just $10. The opening hours are 10.00 AM to 8.00 PM on weekdays and 10.00 AM to 9.00 PM on weekends.
