This is one might be more for the adults, but – hey – a little treat now and then never hurt! Portugal is renowned for being a foodie paradise. Sensational seafood, magnificent meats, fabulous fruit and more… all washed down with a cheeky glass of Douro or, better still, Port.

I find that kids love trying things they wouldn’t normally get to do at home, and Portugal has plenty to offer. There’s the historic trams in Lisbon or the gondolas of Porto to ride, wonderful nature and wildlife to discover in the national parks, the fairytale Pena Palace Sintra Palacio and so much more.
