This is a collaboration

Pains in our stomach and abdominal areas can be quite unpleasant. It can range from a simple stomach ache to a full bend over in agony style pain. It can be quite alarming for family members to see you so uncomfortable. However, there are a few possibilities that might be causing the pain. Some serious and some not so. With that in mind, here are some of the common issues in the hope it might help you identify what you are experiencing.

It can be quite uncomfortable for most. But you should be able to tell if the pain you are experiencing is from indigestion. Along with the evidence of stomach pain, you may notice other symptoms. Such as bloatedness, a burning sensation in your stomach or upper chest and even an acidic taste in your mouth. Indigestion can cause you to feel quite gassy meaning you may belch a few times.

One thing we don’t think about is the fact that constipation can also cause stomach aches and pains. When you just can’t go to the toilet to relieve yourself, this can feel very uncomfortable at times. There can be many reasons why you may be struggling with constipation, taking iron supplements for example can cause it. Fixing one problem and then creating another. This is when you may need to try a maltofer tablet to see if that could ease the situation. Constipation can also be brought on by pregnancy, the foods you eat, or even a lack of exercise and taking better care of yourself.

Abdominal pain can be caused by a build-up of gas. You will be surprised by how painful this can be, and it may cause you to think that it is something else. We tend to get gas from some of the foods we eat; it’s a natural occurrence, and it just means that you need to relax while your body does it’s thing. Foods like beans, vegetables and fruits can be amongst the most common to cause gas.

If the pain is becoming unbearable, then you may be experiencing a hernia. These can develop when an organ or fatty tissue squeezes through a small spot of a muscular area. Hernias can be caused by lifting something too heavy. Or having experienced excessive constipation or diarrhea. It would be advisable to seek medical advice straight away if you suspect this might be causing your pain.

Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix. This will cause you extreme pain and is classed as a medical emergency. If you suspect you are suffering from this, seek medical advice now.

The pain could also be caused by stomach ulcers. They are sores in the stomach lining as a result of an in-balance of fluids in the stomach and digestive system. They can normally be eased by using anti-inflammatory tablets. These can be bought over the counter.

Food Allergies

Finally, the pain could be caused by an unidentified food allergy that you could suffer with. This would normally come on strong immediately and often only takes a little bit of the food substance to cause it.

If you are in doubt, always seek some medical advice. Let’s hope this post may help you in the future.
